Free Childcare

Free Pre-School Year

The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) provide 3 hours of care per day. Kids Klubs offers this service over a 38 week period from September – June. From September 2018, children can participate in the ECCE scheme from 2 years 8 months of age and continue until they transfer to primary school (provided that they are not older than 5 years and 6 months at the end of the pre-school year).

There will only be one entry point to the ECCE scheme from September 2018. Children must be 2 years 8 months by September to start on the ECCE scheme. All children are entitled to 2 full academic years or 76 weeks from September 2018.

Click here - ECCE Guide for Parents - for further eligible dates & guide to ECCE.

In addition to the ECCE scheme, we also offer the following government funded schemes:

  • CCSP
  • CETS
  • NCS
  • ASCC
  • AIM

You can get more information on these schemes at www.earlychildhoodireland.ie

There may also be additional schemes that become available through different government bodies, or voluntary services. Kids Klubs will always strive to collaborate with such bodies to make this funding available to your family. We seek advice from local childcare committees regarding the different levels of support available, and support your family through this process.
